Unfortunately had to attend two separate burglaries in Gosforth last week leaving victims feeling it necessary to have all locks within their property changed / upgraded. Seems that on one occasion thieves had been creeping around in the middle of the night trying out peoples doors in the hope of finding one unlocked on the other occasion, thieves took advantage of a small unlocked ground floor Upvc window to climb through then subsequently using the keys left within the inside of the door to escape with valuables.
General advice would be that doors & windows have locks for a reason & it's obviously important to use them not only from a security perspective but also for insurance purposes. Quality of those locks are important too, all locks supplied & fitted in the above mentioned scenarios were British standard high security & home insurance approved.
